stopping Climate Change
Ocean warming, global warming and hotter summer (due to CO2 and methane) cause wild fire, heat wave, mega-droughts, famine, and heat death. Wildfires and flooding destroyed homes and people died. According to the book, "The uninhabitable earth", living conditions of people would sharply diminish by 2050 on the current emissions track. Hundreds of millions of people would die in a 2 degrees warmer world.
However, Sweden solved this CO2 emission problem by building solar power plants, wind power plants, and nuclear power plants.
According to the book, "The bright future", Sweden emits zero world warming gas CO2.
Therefore, people on earth should replace all the fossil fuel power plants with nuclear power plants, solar power plants, and wind power plants. People should replace all CO2 emission cars to zero CO2 emission cars.
Nuclear power plants are safe. The US nuclear power plants split nuclear materials into less radioactive materials , and contain them in concrete structures, with no radiation leak. A nuclear power plant cannot blow up like a bomb. Fossil fuels power plants emit air pollution gas, and cause warming and climate change. These plants should all be shut down. Nuclear power plants can supply electricity during night time, and provide electrical power to electric cars. On the other hand, pollution gas and carbon dioxide must be removed out of the air.
In UK, only fully electric cars will be on the market in 15 years to stop pollution and climate change. Norway is phasing out the sale of all new fossil-fuel based cars and light commercial vehicles by 2025.
A study published last week in the journal Cariovascular Research, estimated that in 2015, the deaths of more than 3.6 million people worldwide could have been avoided if air pollution from fossil fuels were reduced to zero. Human caused pollution comes from tailpipes and electricity generation, particularly coal-fired power plants. When Italy restricted travel to stop the covid-19 outbreak, the European Space Agency satellite showed extremely rapid drop of pollution over northern Italy. Italy should replace all fossil fuel cars with fully electric cars to stop air pollution and climate change. New data shows air pollution worsen in the United States in 2017 and 2018. Eroding air quality was linked to nearly 10,000 additional deaths in the U.S. relative to the 2016 benchmark. Air pollution, nitrogen dioxide comes primarily from the emissions of cars, trucks, buses, power plants and off-road equipment. The United States should also allow only fully electric cars can be sold, to replace fossil fuel cars with electric cars.
